The operation of Terminal 13 at the Port of Trois-Rivières by Somavrac, specialized in stevedoring (loading and unloading) of vessels and in solid and liquid bulk storage, is well underway. This expansion at the Port of Trois-Rivières increases the stevedoring and storage capacities of Somavrac.
Well established at the Port of Trois-Rivières since its founding in 1963, Somavrac recently signed a long-term agreement with the Trois-Rivières Port Authority (TRPA). This helps meet the growing demand for stevedoring (loading and unloading) and bulk storage in Trois-Rivières.
As a leader in stevedoring (loading and unloading of vessels), Somavrac has developed, over the years, a real expertise in the handling and storage of solid and liquid bulk products, as well as in the handling of chemical products for various industries (mining, cement, pulp and paper, agri-food, etc.).
Somavrac is strategically positioned in 8 ports in Quebec, including the Port of Trois-Rivières, which stands out for its proximity to highways 55 and 40 and serves a vast area. The terminal 13 is in close proximity to a daily rail service providing a complete chain of logistics: marine, rail and road.
With an area of exactly 247,569.94 square feet, Terminal 13 allows Somavrac to increase its stevedoring capacity (loading and unloading of vessels) and its storage space at the Port of Trois-Rivières.
The quay is equipped with two docking areas to accommodate several liquid bulk, dry bulk, project and general cargo vessel loading and unloading. Furthermore, it allows a large storage space to accommodate solid bulk products for storage.
